We love this new location in North Miami, we are so happy we have them so close to our home. The mahi mahi ceviche was amazing. The humita has such a delicious homemade flavor you will ask for more. Also order the cangrejada and the Tonga. Everything was 10/10. The waiter was super attentive, we didn’t had a reservation, regardless he gave us a nice table, we were there early. But I do recommend to make a reservation, the place is no to big And there are only a few large tables. Will be back soon. Only thing they need to bring back las gusguasa.

Incredible experience at Cotoa! Alejandra the chef and owner is extremely talented! The food is surprising, delicate, flavorful and delicious. We ordered the empanadas, ceviche, the lamb and the langostina, it was perfect! The desserts were to die for!! The chocolate lava cake is one of the best we ever had and the pineapple dessert was inventive and perfectly balanced, so good! Luis our waiter was very attentive and was on top of everything. A true gem in North Miami. So happy they opened here!

This was an outstanding dining experience. Every dish blew my mind in one way or the other. I think we ordered perfectly (or maybe all items are perfect). The cheesy pan de yuca had the right texture and paired really well with the chutney. The mahi mahi ceviche was just delectable, and the hanger steak plate was huge and extremely tasty. I have a sweet tooth and the chocolate lava cake was the best one I have ever had. Not sweet, just purely great quality chocolate and the maracuya sorbet balanced it off spectacularly. Friendliest service ever. I am already wanting to come back. Thanks for an amazing dinner experience and top notch food that warms the soul.

Cotoa has a great modern menu of recipes from Ecuador. The recipes are inspired by traditional dishes but executed with modern techniques of fine cuisine striking a nice balance of both. In my mind, Ecuador food is very similar to Peruvian, as both countries had Incas obsessing about foods thousand of years ago. So for those who already in love with foods from Peru (like me) you should try this restaurant.

We had the most incredible dining experience at this hidden gem in Biscayne Park! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm, welcoming, and full of life. Luis, our waiter, was attentive, kind, and made us feel right at home. The food? Absolutely amazing Ecuadorian flavors crafted with so much love. Alejandra, the owner and chef, is truly gifted; you can taste the passion in every bite. This is exactly what we’ve been praying for in our neighborhood a place that brings people together over delicious food and outstanding service. The best part? It’s walking distance from home! We’re beyond grateful to have this beautiful restaurant in our community and can’t wait to return.

Went to Cotoa on a Sunday night with a reservation. The place is small but really cute and cozy. It felt like they might have been having some issues with the AC or something it was a bit warm inside, but they had a ceiling fan going so it wasn’t too bad. Customer service was fine, nothing to complain about. We ordered the pan de yuca to start and it was absolutely delicious. Then came the langoustines dish, which was super flavorful and well prepared with pieces of plantain that added a really nice touch. The crab dish ended up being a table favorite so unique and packed with flavor. We also tried the tortellini and wow, it was insanely good. It definitely had a Hispanic twist to it that made it stand out in the best way. For dessert, we had the upside down pineapple cake. It didn’t blow me away but it was good, just a bit too heavy on the pineapple tartness for my taste. The food overall was definitely worth the visit and I would 100 percent come back. Prices are fair and portion sizes are solid. The only two things to note are that it was a bit warm inside and the food took a while to come out. Other than that, everything was amazing. Definitely recommend checking this place out. They opened in April and have already been Michelin recommended, so I can totally see this becoming the next hot spot. Go now while it’s still a bit under the radar.
